Long time no see...

Feralas is damn pretty. But dangerous...

It's been a while since I sat down and took notes.
I've been busy adventuring the lands lately. I managed to finally master the art of horse riding.. The animals used to scare me silly but I finally found myself a horsie that didn't mistake me for a sack of carrots.

A lot of other stuff has been going on lately. My guild and I have raided Maraudon, a long raid with the usual stand up leadership. Unfortunately I didn't get my hands on the hammer I was hoping for. Better luck next time.

Maraudon with the guild.

Also.. I've gotten myself hooked in the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde.
In other words... I've been drafted. =)
I'm currently a Scout with about 300 kills logged so far. Bloody mayhem.. and bloody fun!
Usually we target the Crossroads in The Barrens. A small Horde outpost that usually manages to muster pretty good defenses.
Last night that wasn't enough for our roughly 120 man strong raid force.
We hit Orgrimmar itself. The Orc capitol city.
At first the raid was looking good, but lack of leadership scattered our forces and soon we were overrun by Horde soldiers returning to home base to defend it from our incursion.

Beauty in hostile territory

I ventured to Darotar today. I went north on foot from Theramore Isle mainly to view the different scenery that can be found in the areas controlled by The Horde.
I snapped a few pictures before I decided to head back to my homeland Dun Morogh again.

Razorfen Downs

I took part in my very first dungeon raid last night.
It was massive entertainment with good people from my guild.
They knew what they were doing as opposed to myself, but I'm hoping to get the hang of it soon enough.

The raid took us into the badlands after a run on foot from Theramore Isle in Dustwallow Marsh, Kalimdor.
Those high enough level could have used mounts but most of them decided to keep the rest of the party company. Never hurts to have good backup in case of an ambush either.

Once we made it to the dungeon, orders were professionally passed out by the raid leader Agarason. I understand he has done this before.

Almost the entire raid party. Our leader Agarason is off taunting enemies to come have a snack.

I was actually lucky when it came to loot for once. I won 3 items I rolled for where two were very nice indeed. No more crafted armor for me (once I am skilled enough to use the items that is).

Agarason is dividing loot.

I must say I enjoyed the atmosphere in the dungeon. The surroundings, the music, the feeling that I just might be overrun by.. anything at any time.
Agarason did a fine job pulling the enemies to us and we only had one partial wipeout. Don't think we were the cause of that though, as I understood it another party came passing by with enemies on their tail which, after being outrun, turned their attention towards us.

Parts of the party. Hail Anno Domini!

There was one place I enjoyed a lot. A room filled with dancing skeletons. The music was pretty.. interesting.
And.. of course.. as a Paladin I love fighting the undead.

Dancing skeletons. The human in the picture is the raid (and guild) leader Agarason.

I should get back to doing other stuff now. I can't be writing all day. Not that I'm very good at it but this is mostly for myself anyway. Don't ask me why it's in English though, it's not even my native language.
Oh yeah.. the bosses! Ugly ugly. Didn't get shots of all of them but.. enjoy what you get!

Tonight we raid Gnomeregan in Dun Morogh. Expect more pictures after that!

Horde encounter

I ran into a Tauren Warrior last night..
I had accidentally gotten myself flagged for PvP by attacking a Horde aligned NPC without even knowing it.
He was 2 levels above me and initiated the attack. Little did he (or I) know that he wouldn't stand a chance against me... And oh did that please me.
My first engagement in real combat and I emerge victorious.

It did boost my ego some and I later hunted down a Troll harassing Alliance characters.
On our first encounter he managed to outrun me with little life left in his body.

One unhappy Troll

Frustrating. Very very frustrating.
However.. I did get some nice help from a low level druid who tracked the Troll down for me.
I tricked him into getting himself flagged again by flagging myself and hoping his pet would attack me.
And indeed it did. This time however, the Troll was not as lucky.
Druids can attack from afar, and once he got out of my reach with VERY little health left my newfound druid companion finished him off with a few ranged magical attacks.

He was overjoyed and so was I.
I doubt the Troll was though.

First post

Let me start by introducing myself.
I am (or rather was) a character in the vast online world Anarchy Online.
My name was Theseus, a member of a great organization named Ring of Destruction.
I got to know some incredible people during my time in that world and had a lot of fun, but after a few years I found content lacking and customer support was nowhere to be seen.

Fighting an Elemental in Ashenvale

So.. I looked towards new worlds and tried out the one known as World of Warcraft.
Unfortunately the name Theseus was not available on the realm server I selected, so I picked a name most of my old org mates used to call me; Thes.

Thes is a Night-Elf hunter, a man of the wild. A skilled leatherworker at that (not really skilled but he's working on it).
To get some variation I created an alternate myself there named Auger (Those that have played Anarchy Online can figure the origin of that name out)..

Auger is now my most beloved character, a Dwarf (!) Paladin, miner and blacksmith.. Holy warrior and all that.

This blog will serve as a form of ingame diary for me. I will try to stay in character most of the time but I will float off into the real world as well.. I don't expect anyone to read this anyway so I'll just let my mind roam free..

Once I figure out how, I will also add screenshots and other fun stuff I come across during my travels..

Cheers!
